The Markward Files

The Markward Files is a feature-length documentary currently under production. It tells the story of Mary Stalcup Markward, a Virgina housewife, who in the 1940s, spied on the Communist Party for the the FBI. Told through the eyes of her daughter, the story is a tragic reminder of the potential dangers of anti-subversive activities that stretch the limits of the Constitution in the name of national security.
