Building a website is a lot like building a house, in that there are a few orderly steps you follow to make sure you get it right:

Inspiration is an important part of the design process for any creative person. We all get excited by different things: some people love taking long hikes and appreciating nature, some like going to galleries and seeing pieces of sculpture and paintings that move them, some people use "recreational substances" to get inspired. But as a design geek, my secret passion is silk screen posters.

This is one of the most frequent requests I get from clients when I am designing a website. And I'm not alone. There seems to be a generally accepted axiom that by making a logo larger, it becomes more prominent. It's an understandable assumption, but it's wrong.
